Whether you are on holiday for a couple of days or more you will definately want to see and do as much as you can to make your trip worthwhile. No matter where you are located it is almost certain that you will;
 
  1. Visit places of interest such as; Mdina ,Valletta  etc
  2. Catch the ferry to our sister islands ; Gozo and comino
  3. Spend a day swimming and relaxing on one of our several sandy beaches

Malta is 27km and the widest point is around 15km and is renowned for its traffic, especially in the central and touristic areas around Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. For those who plan to explore various parts of the island these are the transport methods;

  • Public transport operates daily between 5:30 and 23:00hrs and costs around €4 daily per person.
    Yet due to the over crowded bus stops and slow moving traffic, travelling  can take between 20 – 45 minutes, where it usually takes as little as 10 minutes to cover certain distances in your home country; so one must be patient and prepare to wait in the sun.

 

  • Renting a car or a motorcycle provides the freedom to explore at your own pace. Rates for the smallest vehicles start from around €25 a day (for rental of seven days or longer). A child seat costs around €4 per day –The age limit for rental drivers is generally 21 to 70 years, but drivers between 21 and 25 years may be asked to pay a supplement of up to €10 a day. You will need a valid driving licence that you have held for at least one year
    Yet one must book way in advance due to the high demand in the peak season.

 

  • Private transport. Maltese drivers, especially cabs are renowned for their driving skills and punctuality. Not to mention it being a more comfortable, safe and ideal solution to plan just a few hours before and have more time to sit back and enjoy.  One can pay as little as €6 daily based on 5 trips  ….anywhere….anytime round the island
